June 2021 saw the beginning of JymSpace. JymSpace was a concept Founding Director Neil Davis started out with, being the vision of having his own private space in which he and his wife Sally, could relax, exercise or simply enjoy a peaceful getaway in a beautiful and stylish environment.
Neil soon realised he had created something very special. JymSpace offered a completely different dynamic to anything else available in the health and fitness industry.
Family and friends were all saying the same thing “This is an amazing space, you should let others use it”. This is when the penny dropped, Neil knew that for everyone who feels daunted or nervous about visiting a public Gym, JymSpace was the perfect alternative.
Fellow Director, Archie Walker joined Neil in January 2022 to refurbish and refine the original JymSpace. Archie’s natural sporting ability, Sports Science Degree and craftsmanship were a natural fit. Archie learned his trade and passion for working with natural materials from his father, an exceptional cabinet maker. Archie was the ideal partner for designing and crafting the desired aesthetic that Neil had originally envisaged. Archie and Neil started brainstorming ways to develop the already beautiful space into an eye catching functional area that would transform the way to improve fitness and wellbeing. NOHrD Sport and Style Gym equipment was chosen to complement the stunning looks and finish of the highest quality birch ply boarding.
In April 2022 JymSpace 1 was just open to Neil and Archie’s family and friends. The response was overwhelmingly positive which drove Neil and Archie to understand how they could open up JymSpace 1 to paying members. In May 2022 JymSpace was open to the public, offering a gym experience that was completely unique, blowing away the outdated norms of the industry.
Andrew Guthrie, JymSpace Technical Director, joined Neil and Archie in March 2022. Andrew has an exceptional passion for technology along with an unwavering demand for excellence and quality. For over three decades Andrew has been instrumental in successfully delivering complex technical projects. Andrew developed a technical blueprint for JymSpace that bought all the modern smart technologies together to give the public secure, safe and managed access to JymSpace. A Facial recognition system for secure door access control, emergency intercom, security cameras, Online booking system, connected media and smart gym equipment.
The Directors of JymSpace did not just stop at building a stylish and functional space. They wanted the JymSpace experience to be all about their members. The revolutionary JymBuddy offering means you can bring a special someone with you to enjoy JymSpace. Members can bring along different friends, family members or personal trainers at no additional cost.
Employee wellbeing is very important to JymSpace and we were committed to offering discounted memberships to local companies. Several local businesses are now offering free Gym membership to groups of employees.

By October 2022 we had completed the construction and fit out of JymSpace 2. A brand new design from a completely blank canvas, it embodies everything that JymSpace represents.
Our aim is very much the same today as it was when Neil first started. JymSpace design and manufacture beautiful spaces for fitness and wellbeing.
